Under the supervision of the Admissions & Grievance Administrator, the Admissions Specialist performs program assistance and clerical work assisting applicants and advocates with navigating the affordable housing application process, screening applicants for housing, providing landlord references for former tenants, scanning tenant move out files into an electronic document management system, working at the front reception desk at KCDC’s main office. The incumbent conducts background checks performs data entry, and assists with other clerical duties.
All activities must support Knoxville’s Community Development Corporation’s (“KCDC” or “Authority”) mission, strategic goals, and objectives.

Under supervision of the Property Manager, the Assistant Property Manager assists with the management of a residential apartment community. This position is responsible for leasing vacant apartments, completing recertification, conducting inspections, and sending tenant notices. The community may have a mix of market rate / workforce units, Low Income Tax Credit LIHTC) units and/or Project Based Rental Assistance. All work must comply with company policies, laws and regulations. The incumbent provides a variety of program and office support to the Regulatory and Compliance Director, Senior Vice President of Housing, supervisory staff, and employees in the Housing department.

The Maintenance Technician II performs skilled work in the maintenance and repair of apartment buildings and building fixtures. The incumbent works as a member of a maintenance crew and performs a variety of skilled tasks in several mechanical and building trades.

The Real Estate Development Associate works on all aspects of multifamily real estate development from concept design through lease-up while helping to further Knoxville’s Community Development Corporation’s (KCDC’s) mission to provide the highest quality affordable housing in Knoxville. This position performs financial analyses of development opportunities, pursues funding sources and closes real estate transactions. The Associate interfaces with governmental agencies (local, state and federal), lenders, equity partners, consultants, architects, contractors, and KCDC’s executive leadership. The Associate supports KCDC’s role as Redevelopment Agency for the City of Knoxville by providing economic analysis to evaluate various economic development incentives, manage existing redevelopment districts and assist the City of Knoxville on various other redevelopment initiatives

Under general supervision, the Occupancy Specialist performs specialized technical and clerical work supporting various types of Section 8 housing programs. The Occupancy Specialist examines eligibility of KCDC clients and prospective clients for rental assistance, processes monthly housing assistance payments to landlords, and processes utility allowance payments to the utility company.
